The 5th edition of Eastern Travel Mart started yesterday on 2081-11-25 in Itahari of Sunsari District. The mart was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Kumar  Karki. Chief Minister Karki addressing the program highlighted the importance and opportunities created by this type of event in tourism promotion of the province. He further remarked that the provincial government has declared Koshi Visit Year-2082 to harness prospects and benefits of the tourism of this province up to the mark. 

Mr. Hikmat Singh Ayer, officiating CEO of NTB, assured the continuation of support for the mart in future. He empathized that the private sector of the province should push and demand the public sector to organize such programs more often.

Around 60 travel trade participants and media personalities from Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, from India and Bhutan are participating in the program.

The mart will include panel discussions on tourism of the province, business networking meetings and product observation visits. It will be concluded on 27th Falgun 2081.
