YETI AIRLINES HAS ADDED TWO ATR 72-500 AIRCRAFT

Yeti Airlines has recently acquired two 72-seat airplanes for Nepal from Dhaka, Bangladesh, through the company's captains.

This acquisition brings Yeti's fleet to a total of seven ATR 72-500 aircraft, with the newly added planes registered under Nepali numbers 9N-AOF and 9N-AOH.

All seven aircraft, which are exclusively ATR models, are scheduled to commence operations during the first week of April.

The airline has expressed its intention to further expand its fleet by adding three more planes, aiming to reach a total of ten aircraft by 2024. This expansion is geared towards enhancing passenger service quality and regaining lost market share.

The ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft represents the latest generation in aviation technology. With a seating capacity ranging from 70 to 72 passengers, it is highly regarded for its superior performance with a turboprop engine. Powered by PW127 engines, it is considered the best aircraft of its size, offering reduced noise and vibration levels compared to conventional aircraft, thereby ensuring a more comfortable interior environment for passengers.

Yeti Airlines, a limited company, has recently secured investment from Asian Life Insurance. As part of its growth strategy, the company intends to issue an Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the general public within the current year.

Currently, Yeti Airlines operates flights to various destinations in Nepal, including Kathmandu, Chandragarhi, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Simra, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, and Nepalgunj.
